Case Study – Prop. 415 (PAWS)

In response to a deteriorating Pima County Animal Care Facility, the Pima County Board of Supervisors placed Proposition 415 on the November 4, 2014 General Election ballot. This measure–Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS)–would provide $22 million for the construction of a new animal care center to better accommodate the thousands of animals brought to the shelter and to allow for more humane modern animal care practices.

SIMG managed the successful Prop. 415 campaign, which included a combination of direct mail, social media engagement, and public events. In addition, SIMG oversaw media opportunities by placing guest editorials in local papers, producing radio advertisements, and developing a PAWS multi-media website (as well as a new website for the Friends of PACC following the election). Prop. 415 passed by an overwhelming 58%.
